Enchanted evening after reuniting with Robin early, with me blissfully unaware of the hellscape of the Milk Creek Drainage waiting the next morning.

Views coming down from Fire Creek Pass with the very enticing (and literally named) Grassy Ridge beyond.

Evening primetime entertainment from Pumice Creek: sunset with breezy grass and hot cocoa water simmering. Not pictured: delightful SOBO campsite companions for the night.

A cozy second night with bog-front views and complimentary tent-side mosquito symphony. Bonus chipmunk neighbor who tried to abscond with my cup overnight and cracked it in spite when thwarted. 🐿

Very normal trail situation in Glacier Peak. Into the hedges I go, skin integrity be damned. #itsjustafleshwound

Home for the first night on a wisp of land dividing two drainages, where I spent the evening watching clouds pour over an adjacent pass to sail into the valley below like giant cotton ships.
